Arhan Menon – arhanam2@illinois.edu
I am a junior majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Urban Planning. I am a public transit enthusiast, and I collect transit farecards from cities I visit. As the president, I am the go-to for planning and decision-making. I reach out and network with professionals in the field for ITE@UIUC, and I do anything else that isn’t handled by any of our other great exec board members.

Aerospace Engineering junior with a dual degree in Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship. Outside of academics, I am an amateur photographer (not a good one) and a pianist (also not a good one). At ITE, I assist the president with events and meetings and answer members’ questions regarding the organization. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding ITE! I’m a senior in civil engineering with a primary in Transportation and a secondary in Construction Materials. I am passionate about infrastructure engineering since my primary and secondary are utilized in many practical applications within the field. Hi everyone! My name is Avery, and I’m a Junior in Civil & Environmental Engineering. As your Social Chair, I get to plan fun social events and field trips for our chapter! I am a masters student in transportation engineering doing research in autonomous vehicles under the supervision of Professor Alireza Talebpour. My primary interests are trajectory planning in autonomous vehicles and deep reinforcement learning (DRL). I am also a huge fan of high-speed trains and airplanes too! My favorite hobby is I traveling around the U.S! I am a junior majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Urban Planning. I am a public transit enthusiast and I collect transit farecards from cities I visit. My role as project chair is to help come up with the projects that ITE is going to do for Engineering Open House. I am leading the Illinois High Speed Rail team, which intends to propose a High-Speed Rail Line between Chicago and St. Louis. This project will be based on alternatives that the State of Illinois is considering and will take into account ridership, city pairs, distance, and travel time.

Coming from China, I’m a junior urban planning student who focus on public transportation systems, especially buses. I’m interested in Bus Rapid Transit(BRT) systems and adoption of zero or low emissions vehicles in cities, and the accompanying challenges. I am currently leading a student research team, looking forward to generate a comprehensive update plan for the university’s garbage collecting services, which means modernize the fleet with alternative energy vehicles and optimize the collecting routes. Fun Fact: I’m a transit geek. I spend most of the spare time taking buses. Additionally, I am a trained Mobile Suit pilot and had the honor of fighting alongside Kamille Bidan in Gryps Conflict.
